Do you know what day of the week it is?

If you asked me this question, I would probably double check one of my many devices to confirm what day of the week it actually was.

Do you know who you are?

We see ourselves one way and everyone else sees us differently. Our mother, or father, child, friend, neighbor, the list goes on and on; they all see us differently. Allowing us to be any version of ourself that we choose to be. We live in a weird time, a time to be socially distant~ when many strive to be just that social, it is now somewhat of a rebellious thought to actually be social. So who are you when no one is watching? Do you find yourself alone, enjoying that time or longing for that personal connection with someone, anyone?

I recently took over as the Chamber of Commerce president, and my confidence was all over the place. {I care} Naturally, if you care enough you may find this happening to you, a lack in confidence.

Shortly after my first meeting, a sweet message was sent to me. "You will be a great leader and voice for this team. I remember the first time I met you, you were so put together and had a calming sense about you that made everyone feel comfortable. Thank you..." On that particular day, I did not see myself as calm or put together. I was informed of the event only a days before with little prep time. I had no idea what I was doing, I just knew that I needed to smile and be present. The path I was on could have changed that day. If I was the person I believed I was on that day. Unprepared and lacking in confidence.

No one else saw me that way. There is an old saying it's not what others think of you, it's what you think of yourself. In this case that would not have turned out so well for me. Maybe this is you.. It is how others see you and it is how you choose to present yourself. I challenge you to see yourself the way someone else sees you.

Make a little magic happen.
